Stockjudging results

Dungiven YFC have made a great start to the summer months.

At the recent Co Londonderry stockjudging heats the following members gained places for the Northern Ireland YFCU finals. They were as follows: In the beef judging – 12-14 age group, Claire Young, 4th, 21-25, Matthew Thompson, 4th. In the sheep judging – 12-14 age group, Jane Orr, second, and Lauren McFarlane, third, 14-16, Zara Fulton, second, and Stephen Cairns, fourth, 16-18, Alison Mullan, second, 18-21, Mark Connell, first, and Katie Love, third.

Well done to all Dungiven YFC members who attended the NI stockjudging finals at Greenmount College.

Congratulations must go to Chloe Miller who won the 14-16 age group dairy stockjudging and to Matthew Gault who was placed fourth in the 18-21 dairy stockjudging.

The next big event that Dungiven YFC members are looking forward to is the Co Londonderry Limavady Show which is being held today (Saturday, July 18) at Aghanloo Limavady. Come along and visit Dungiven YFC’s stand at the show and find out what Young Farmers is all about.
