If you are investing in a new stock bull this spring then next weekends show and sale of 130 bulls and females is an absolute must!

The inaugural “Spring Balmoral Bull Sales” takes place at the old show grounds on Saturday 28th February with auctioneer Richard Beattie kicking off the sale at 11am.

The concept of hosting a sale that offers buyers the opportunity to select from ten beef breeds all under one roof is proving to be a popular one, especially as so many farmers are now working out as well as caring for their livestock.

One buyer from the Autumn Balmoral Sale explains: “The beauty of having so many breeds available on one day is that I can manage my time more efficiently. My son and I were able to come to Balmoral the evening before and make a short list of bulls, and then he came back and purchased the following day.

“As we breed our own suckler replacements we were able to source a bull for this job, and also a terminal beef sire for producing stores.”

In addition buyers are able to select from the very best bloodlines in the business, with many of NI’s leading herds represented. All stock are eligible for immediate export, and transport can be arranged to a central location.

Each and every animal will also be fully inspected and sells with the National Beef Association Warranty.

Judging takes place on Friday 27th February at 4pm. There will be two sale rings running side by side once again. Placing the entries are Liam Muir, Orkneys and Gary Hughes, Carlisle.
