There are still a few days left to get your entries in for this year’s Farming Life and Danske Bank awards, which celebrate excellence in the Northern Ireland agri-food industry.
The deadline for submitting entries for the wide range of categories is Tuesday, 22nd September.
This year Budget Energy Ltd is sponsoring the ‘Sheep farmer of the year category.’
A spokesperson for the company said: “Since entry into the electricity market in 2011, Budget Energy Ltd has been bringing low cost electricity to thousands across Northern Ireland.
“Throughout this time, we have also been supporting our local farmers and with progression year on year we have now developed a farming community within Budget Energy.
“We at Budget Energy view the agricultural industry as the backbone of our economy, and with the difficulties of the present financial situation at hand, we wish to reach out and give the farmers our backing via our farm tariffs which are available to all aspects of the industry.
“So from dairy to poultry to sheep and beef, Budget Energy has the tariff for you.
“So what separates us from our competitors other than cheaper tariffs?
“Well, we provide the full support package to assist farmers with energy saving advice, finding the best tariff for you depending on your type of farming, as well as dedicate one of our farming specialists to manage your account for you.
“As our farming community continues to blossom, we invite you as a new member to join this community and we promise that we will make it work for you.”
