An entry of 1750 sheep at Markethill on Wednesday 30th November sold in a firmer trade.
Heavy lambs sold to £88 each with several pens from £82 to £86.50 each and the average for 550 heavy lambs at 25.5 kilos made £83.70 each at 328p. Top rate of 343p per kilo for 24.5 kilos at £84 each.
Middleweight lambs sold to 358p per kilo for 22 kilos at £78.80 each.
Main demand sold from 330p to 351p per kilo.
Store lambs sold in a firmer demand. Light stores to 419p per kilo for 12.9 kilos at £54 each. Stronger stores sold to 387p for 19 kilos at £73.50. Cull ewes sold to £74 each. Main demand from £55 to £72 each.
