An entry of 1460 sheep at Markethill on Wednesday 16th November sold in a much firmer trade for all weights.
Heavy lambs sold steadily from £80 to £87 each. Top rate of 350p per kilo for 14 kilos at £84. All good quality pens sold from 325p to 341p per kilo.
Good quality middleweight lambs sold from 340p to a top of 358p per kilo for 22.1 kilos at £79 each.
Store lambs continued to sell in a very strong demand. Light stores sold to 405p per kilo for 15.3 kilos at £62. Stronger stores sold to 384p per kilo for 17.7 kilos at £68 each.
Good quality cull ewes sold from £65 to £84 each with plainer ewes from £45 to £60 each.
