The North Tyrone Ulster Farmers’ Union Group would like to open an invitation to all members to attend their first of the New Year.
The meeting will be held on Monday, 5th January 2015 and will be in the Fir Trees Hotel, Strabane at 8pm.
The topic of the meeting will be preparing for the future; this includes wills, inheritance planning, nursing home and recent changes to pension plans.
All these topics are very important in the life of every farming family, and Chairman Mark Adams says everyone should learn something on the evening! Supper on the evening will be provided.
The speakers for the evening meeting with be John Fahy, local solicitor and also Mervyn Priestly, Financial Planning Manager, NFU Mutual.
The North Tyrone Ulster Farmers’ Union Group also held a very successful festive meeting which took the format of a Charity Table Quiz compered by Mr Paddy Houston. This was an extremely successful evening with a tremendous turnout of members, their families and friends, who came along to take part in the table quiz. After ten rounds, with the competition being fierce the winners and those who most defineatly didn’t win were presented with some prizes.
Proceeds of the evening are being donated to Alzheimer’s Society at the next group meeting.
Members should note that Tyrone’s annual presidents area meeting will be held on Wednesday, 21st January in the Silver Birches Hotel, Omagh at 8pm and all members are welcome.
