Mid Tyrone group welcomed many members and their families to its stand at Omagh Show this year again.

Members were able to rest their legs and enjoy a cup of tea, they also got a chance to speak to Ian Marshall, who was on the stand for the majority of the afternoon.

Congratulations to Joe
Doherty who was the winner of the free draw for a hamper donated by Grey and McKelvey.

Although the draw was free there was a collection box for Macmillan Cancer Support which raised £110, this was greatly appreciated by the charity.

The committee met this week to discuss and plan the up and coming winter programme.

There were some great ideas for speakers and trips and the committee would like to encourage members to attend as many meetings as possible.

The group are planning a study trip to Vienna and Slovakia from 8th – 11th November 2015, the trip will include a walking tour of Vienna, a number of farm visits in Bratislava, a visit to Bratislava Farmers Market and various other activities. If you are interested or would like more details please contact the group office on 02882243057.

Any members who currently do not receive the text messages or weekly bulletin via email can ring the Omagh office with their mobile number and email address.

If there are any farmers in the Mid-Tyrone area who are not members of the group and are interested in joining, do not hesitate to give the office a call.
