Cara does the double at Ecclesville

With the Super League underway the top six in each class also won valuable points, as at the end of 2020, in each class from 60cm through to 1.10cm, a perpetual trophy will be awarded to rider and horse combination with the most points.

The evening got off to a brilliant start with 23 young riders shared the top spot in the very popular 40 cm class.

The competitors then had to be both careful and speedy to negotiate Raymond Caldwell’s challenging courses as the clock was to decide the winners in each class! The 60cm class was won by Zoe Keys and the very nimble Cartron Lad.

The 70cm and 80cm classes were extremely competitive, with the speedy combination of Cara Garrity and Louie delighted to claim the winning rosette and a very valuable 10 Super League points in both classes!

The 90cm class winner was local girl, Lori Smith riding Dolly. The final two classes of the evening saw Fermanagh girl Hannah Thompson riding Bruno to pick up the red ribbon in both classes.

The Super League for 2020 is looking very interesting after three Leagues and with several new combinations in the mix the leader-board has been given a good shake up! The perpetual trophies will be awarded at the final of the fourth league on 18 December so it should be an interesting end to 2020.
