A larger entry of 1240 cattle on offer at Clogher Mart on Saturday 21st October produced a good steady demand especially for quality lots in all sections plainer stock would be easier.

In the fatstock ring 380 lots listed sold readily with beef bred cows selling to £1801-20 for a 760kg Limousin to £237 per 100kg this was followed by an 810kg Limousin to £1765-80 at £218 per 100kg.

Beef bred cow heifers sold to £1603-60 for a 760kg Saler to £211 per 100kg and selling to £220 per 100kg for a 690kg Charolais to £1518.

Fleshed Friesian cows sold to £930 for a 600kg to £155 per 100kg.
