2017 SJI season underway at The Meadows

Following the conclusion of the very successful Baileys 2017 Flexi Eventing series, The Meadows Equestrian, Lurgan, welcomed SJI competitors back to the centre for the start of their 2017 Spring SJI league.

Following recent upgrades to the surfaces in both existing arenas and the exciting other improvements 2017 is certainly going to be a busy one for the organisers.

Showjumping continues this weekend as part of the Meadows St Patrick’s weekend. Friday, March 17, will see schools from all over the province take part in their respective competitions as well as the Bluegrass Open Interschools qualifier.

On Saturday, March 18, it will be the turn of the ponies to have their first show of the year, when the national SJI CWD Pony Spring Tour comes to arenas of the Meadows.

Rounding off the very busy weekend will be the second week of the SJI Spring Horse League with classes once again from 90cms to 1.30m. The ever popular unregistered will also return on Sunday, March 19, both arenas commencing at 9.30am.
