Huge turnout for annual Camlough show and sale

There was a huge turnout for the annual show and sale, one of the biggest sales this year.

Thanks to the judge Nigel Matchett, to all the sellers and to all the buyers including Hughes Nisa Extra in Camlough for their continued support of the annual Christmas Show and Sale who once again bought the Show Champion. Thanks to all the sponsors, Ulster Bank, Dankse Bank, Thompsons Feeds, Corby Rock Mill, Origin NI, Merial, Cheetah Fencers and John Riddels and Sons. The sale was a huge success with heifers peaking at £1600 while steers peaked at £1520.

Heifers: 630kg at £1600 (£254.00 per 100kg), 585kg at £1380 (£235.90 per 100kg), 585kg at £1350 (£230.80 per 100kg), 480kg at £1095 (£228.10 per 100kg), 485kg at £1100 (£226.80 per 100kg), 590kg at £1300 (£220.30 per 100kg), 485kg at £1030 (£212.40 per 100kg), 535kg at £1120 (£209.30 per 100kg), 570kg at £1190 (£208.80 per 100kg).

Steers: 505kg at £1190 (£235.60 per 100kg), 555kg at £1265 (£227.90 per 100kg), 585kg at £1295 (£221.40 per 100kg), 700kg at £1520 (£217.10 per 100kg), 495kg at £1050 (£212.10 per 100kg),375 kg at £790 (210.70 per 100kg), 525kg at £1105 (£210.50 per 100kg),500kg at £1050 (£210.00 per 100kg), 505kg at £1060 (£209.90 per 100kg), 520kg at £1090 (£209.60 per 100kg).
