“The mill was established 50 years ago. But, given the recent growth in the business, we needed more space to store bags,” he confirmed.

“The new building was erected on a green field site, adjacent to the existing mill: it is 100 feet long by 60 feet wide.”

James and his team manufacture a range of quality blends in both bulk and bag form.

“We source compound nuts for customers from my cousin L A McAuley, based in Balrath, Co Meath.

“Our aim is to supply our farmer customers with high quality feeds.”

With regard to the new store, James wanted it constructed to the highest standards. But the timeline set for the project was also pretty tight.

“That was why we
opted for the Moore Concrete wall panelling system,” he said.

“The Moore team did a tremendous job, both in advising on which panels to use and their delivery to the site.

“The new walls were in place within a very short period of time.”

Moore’s Jeff Haslett was a recent visitor to the McAuley mill.

“The pre-stressed wall panels are fully cured,” he explained.

“As a consequence they can be put in place, as soon as they arrive on-site.

“Where the McAuley store was concerned, we supplied panels that were 1200mm high and 150mm thick.

“These were all manufactured to order as each bay within the store had a slightly different length.

“James also purchased Moore Concrete rat bait
boxes for use in the new store.”
