Supreme Champion title for '˜the Asker'
Bonecastle Asker, sired by Artnagullion Wagon Wheel ET with Bonecastle being the dam, took the honours in the Shearling Ram Class and was named Male Champion before going on to win the Supreme Champion title.
Bonecastle Avram, from Dermot’s Bonecastle flock, finished in second place in the Shearling Ram class and went on to take the top price of 600gns on the day with the purchase made by Kenny Preston of Omagh.

Kenny also had a good day in the show ring, taking first and second place in the Ram Lamb classes with Glenpark Bluestone ET (Lot 52) going on to be named Reserve Champion.
The Shearling Ewe class and Female Champion title was won by Lagyveagh Abba (Lot 55) from H. ONeill’s Lagyveagh flock in Glenarm.
Runner-up in the class and Reserve Female Champion was Munreary Addictive from Claudy-based PLJ Brolly.
Commenting on the winners, judge Alison McCrabbe from Raphoe in Donegal described the Supreme Champion, Bonecastle Asker as “a big straight, correct ram with loads of power” and the Reserve Champion, Glenpark Bluestone ET, as “a strong lamb with loads of potential – great Shearling next year!”

A total of 75MV Accredited Beltex Pedigree Sheep went under the hammer on the day.
