Girls ready to kick-off five-a-side football finals

The Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster annual girls' football five-a-side tournament, run in association with platinum sponsor, Elanco, began on Tuesday, May 3, in Cafre's Greenmount Campus and on Wednesday 4th May in Mid Ulster Sports Arena Cookstown with the finals being held at Balmoral Show.

Fifty-eight YFCU teams from throughout Northern Ireland competed in two sections, junior and senior, with 14 teams making it through to the final that will take place today (Wednesday, May 11) at Balmoral Show on the Cattle Rings at 5.15pm.

The top senior teams who have made it through to the final are:

Glarryford YFC 1; Lisnamurrican YFC; Kilraughts YFC; Randalstown YFC; Garvagh YFC; Coleraine YFC; Trillick & District YFC and Collone YFC.

The top junior teams that made it through to the final are: Spa YFC 2; Annaclone & Magherally YFC; Glarryford YFC 1; Curragh YFC 2; Kesh YFC 1 and Cappagh YFC 1.
