Having been one of the category sponsors of the first awards in 2011, they have continually given their backing to the poultry section and this year is no different.

Farming Life editor Ruth Rodgers expressed her delight and excitement at Moy Park’s involvement for the 2016 Farming Life and Danske Bank Awards.

“We are delighted to be able to welcome back Moy Park as sponsors of the poultry category,” she said.

“It is particularly pleasing that Moy Park have maintained their support of our awards which have grown and developed since our first year back in 2011.

“We are looking forward to the 2016 Farming Life and Danske Bank Awards which we hope will be a fitting tribute to the agriculture industry in Northern Ireland.”

David Gibson, Moy Park Director of Agriculture said: “Moy Park works with over 600 local farmers, and we see first-hand the hard work and commitment it takes to run a successful farm business. We are pleased to support events like the Annual Farming Life Awards which recognise the ongoing dedication of our farming partners.

“As a leading food company we are committed to delivering the highest standards for our customers - from product innovation to industry leading agriculture and operations – and working closely with our farmers is an important part of this. Having sponsored the ‘Poultry Farmer of the Year’ category for a number of years, we are continually impressed with the high calibre of entries received.

“We are on the lookout for those farmers that demonstrate commitment to sustainability, welfare and quality; an ethos that we consider fundamental at Moy Park. We wish all of this year’s entrants good luck and look forward to crowning the winner later this year.”
