Moy Park support for Prince's Trust programme

Moy Park recently welcomed a group of young people from The Prince's Trust Team Programme to its Craigavon facility to learn more about a career in business.

The educational visit, which took place as part of the Prince’s Trust 12-week personal development Team Programme, is the most recent initiative from Moy Park in support of its long standing partnership with the Prince’s Trust.

The course is specially designed to equip young, unemployed people aged 16-25 with the skills, confidence and training to embark on a new career.

At Moy Park, the programme participants were given an insight into the wide variety of roles in the food industry and learned about the importance of communication, teamwork and health and safety in an agri-food setting.

Brian Moreland, Moy Park Corporate Responsibility Manager said: “It is extremely rewarding to see the energy and enthusiasm of these young people and to be able to help them succeed. Programmes like this enrich the lives of young people by nurturing their talents and encouraging them to look at the wide variety of careers available in the agri-food sector.

“Our partnership with the Prince’s Trust, which has been going strong for over 15 years, is one of the many ways we engage to make a positive and lasting impact within the communities where we operate.”
