14 Holstein bulls are catalogued for Kilrea

Catalogues are available for Holstein NI’s annual bull sale at Kilrea Mart on Tuesday 4th May at noon.

Auctioneer Mark Stewart has confirmed an entry of 14 pedigree bulls.

Entries have been received from leading herds: Inch, Keely, Mullaugher, Prehen and

Relough.

The bulls on offer range in age from July 2019 to April 2020, and are sons of top AI sires such as Skyhigh Patrol, Catlane Chad, Co-op Bosside Massey, Annandale Elton, Denovo 7921 Atrium, Niaho, Annandale Haysmuir, TW Goodwhone, Prehen Lancaster, Denovo 14585 Outlay A2A2, Sandy Valley I Batman, Denovo 8084 Entity and Hoogerhorst DG OH Rubels Red.

Mark Stewart said: “This is a sale not to be missed! The catalogue features something for everyone, from outcross and British Friesian bloodlines, and bulls boasting PLI values to £631. The bulls selling are bred from high component and proven cow families, and backed by up to ten generations of VG and EX classified dams.”

Patrons attending Kilrea Mart must wear face coverings and adhere to the strict Covid-19 guidelines. Prospective buyers must contact the mart to pre-register to attend the sale, or use the online bidding facility at Kilrea.marteye.ie
