The decision was taken this week due to the worsening situation around Covid-19.

Farming Life editor Ruth Rodgers said it was a decision which had been taken with great regret, but the safety and health of awards attendees was paramount.

She continued: “2020 would have marked the tenth anniversary of our Farming Life awards and it was an event which we were really looking forward to. We had hoped that we would have been able to proceed with the awards but the worsening situation with the Coronavirus pandemic means that we must postpone the awards gala until April 2021. It is important that the health and safety of all our sponsors and attendees comes first and that we adhere to the restrictions imposed by the Northern Ireland Executive which are there to keep us all safe.

“Hopefully next year things will have improved sufficiently so that we can really do our 10th awards the justice it deserves.

“This means that you have even more time to prepare your entries and to help with this you will find a really useful webinar on the Farming Life facebook page which explains some of the things the judges will be looking for as they sift through entries. It also explains the value of awards to local businesses and their growth,” she added.

Online entries are open for a range of categories. Follow this link for more information or to submit an entry or copy and paste www.farminglifeawards.co.uk into your browser.
