Bord Na Móna auction

Bord Na Móna is preparing to auction surplus to requirement machinery on Wednesday 1st July, managed by Ireland and the UK’s largest independent auction company, Wilsons Auctions.

Taking place now, following its postponement prior to the Covid 19 lockdown, the auction will feature over 200 Lots and will be an online live virtual auction.

Bidding is open to everyone to bid online and the auction will have a live auctioneer. The auction itself will feature a range of over 90 tractors including four wheel drive and two wheel drive Ford, Massey Ferguson, Fiat, John Deere and Landini Tractors.

Other items included in this special auction are excavators, Caterpillar tracked Dozers, Gardiner Four Cylinder Engines, buckets, Ford and Citroen panel vans plus tyres and various equipment and plant parts.

Ricky Wilson, Director and Auctioneer at Wilsons Auctions said: “We are delighted to continue our work with Bord na Móna having been instructed to manage the auction of Lots at its Derrygreenagh site in Co. Offaly.

“Following the success of the auction back in September, and the postponement of this auction in March, we are proud of the online auction services we are providing meaning a solution can be found that complies with the current government advice.

“This auction will feature a large volume of surplus to requirement stock, managed by our expert online Auction Team and I would encourage everyone to register for this auction as soon as possible, so they can bid online,” he added.

Viewings will be conducted with strict social distancing procedures in place and will be by appointment only, running over four days, Thursday 25th, Friday 26th, Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th June from 10am until 4pm with 1 hour time slots (Groups limited to two people per viewing).

Live tractor or machinery video walk arounds are available on request for registered bidders.

All lots can be viewed online and interested bidders who would like to register for online bidding can do so through the Wilsons Auctions website.
