Bullocks selling to £1610 per head at Swatragh Mart

Bullocks sold to 423p/kg for a Limousin at 352kg (£1490) and to a top of £1610 per head for a Simmental at 524kg (307p/kg).

Heifers sold to 370p/kg for a Limousin at 384kg (£1420) and to a top of £2160 per head for a Charolais at 670kg (322p/kg).

Calved heifer sale

Friday 12th June seen the NCCE calved heifer sale with 24 yocks on offer with the top price yock going all the way to £7,600 for a super roan Limousin heifer with a Limousin heifer calf at foot with all other yocks reaching outstanding prices.

Next NCCE in-calf heifer sale will be on Friday 16th October with a lot more super quality heifers on offer.

Saturday 13th June seen an entry of 1300 sheep which met a great trade for ewes and rams and a slightly lesser trade for lambs.

1000 lambs sold to a top of £214 for 1 lamb at 35kg and to 855p/kg for 8 lambs at 23.5kg into £201.

300 fat ewes and rams sold to a top of £312 for ewes and £280 for rams with numerous lots making great prices.
