Charlie and Cody are two 'pawsome pooches' waiting to find their forever families

Meet Charlie and Codi, two ‘pawsome pooches’ currently in the charity’s care who are waiting to find their forever families.

According to Dogs Trust, Charlie is a ‘super sweet four-year-old Labrador who is affectionate and loves company’.

Charlie is a big fan of his food and loves playtime, which will come in handy for any future training with this lovely lad.

Charlie has a gentle and loving nature. He is a big lad, so he is strong on the lead.

He is a keen walker and will happily jump in the car for walking adventures further afield.

As Charlie loves company, he will thrive in a home where he can always be part of the family.

He can be left for short periods of time, which can be built up gradually once settled in his new home.

He has previously lived with children, so he could share his home with older children aged 10+ who are confident around larger breeds.

Charlie is a sociable boy and could live with another dog pending successful meets at Dogs Trust Ballymena.

As he is a big, strong lad, he is looking for an active family who are fit and confident with handling him on a lead and who will enjoy lots of walks and playtimes together.

Meanwhile, Codi is a very friendly Spaniel Crossbreed who is nine months old.

Codi enjoys getting out and about for his walks and is curious about new places.

He requires some confidence-building with the car so that he can go on adventures further afield.

He loves spending time with his handlers and is happiest when out for a walk or chilling on the sofa with a member of staff.

Codi will make a wonderful best friend.

Codi is looking for an adopter who has the time to reintroduce some basic training and show him more of the big, wide world.

He can live with older children who are used to dogs, as Codi can be bouncy. He can also potentially live with another dog after successful meets at Dogs Trust Ballymena.

Codi's adopter will need to be at home with him to begin with, and once he settles in, leaving time can be gradually increased.

If you are interested in adopting Charlie or Codi, please get in touch with the team at Dogs Trust Ballymena or pop along to meet them.

Dogs Trust Ballymena is open for general browsing on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 12–4pm and by pre-arranged appointments on Wednesday and Friday mornings.
