Collone YFC enjoy another successful Armagh County Show

The club hold a stand at the show where they showcase everything Collone YFC has to offer in addition to competitions they hold on the day.

The members had a good day chatting to members of the community about Collone YFC and raising awareness about the organisation and its work as a whole.

The club had competitions running throughout the day such as a kids colouring competition, guess the number of balloons in the tractor and their very popular jiving competition.

The club had live music in the tent by Aidan Clerkin Music which created a great atmosphere and drew people into the stand throughout the afternoon before the competition kicked off at 2pm.

The competition was very kindly judged by Emma Ferris and it was great to see many couples returning for another year to take part in the competition. Thank you to everyone for taking part.

Jiving Competition results: First place, Grace and Chris, second place, Clarise and Stephen, and third place, Robyn and Aoibheann.

Members also travelled around the show with the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster Mascot ‘Moo’ providing a great opportunity to chat to future members, Moo was very popular and a great talking point.

Members of Collone YFC are also heavily involved within the show committee with many helping at the various sections of the show on the day, the club are thankful for the support of Armagh County Show and enjoy the event each year.

Well done to all members who helping with the set up and take down, another successful show day completed.

The club are now looking forward to their summer events such as their tractor run on Sunday, August 30th, 2026 and their barbecue on Saturday, September 5th, 2026.

The club will begin meeting again every other Monday evening from September onwards.
