Cows and calves sell to £1350 at Swatragh Mart

A strong entry of over 1200 sheep were presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Saturday.

An entry of 320 cull ewes, continue to be in strong demand, topping at £176.00 for Texels.

750 hoggets were presented for sale, which was met overall, with a slightly easier trade than previous weeks, but still holding some great prices selling to a top of £124.50 for 27kg.

Cattle: A great show of over 170 head of quality cattle were presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Monday, which resulted in a strong, steady trade for all types of stock on offer.

Heifers sold to a top of £2.78 per kilo for a Charolais 320kg at £890.

Bullocks sold to £2.63 per kilo for a Charolais 426kg at £1120.
