Dairy stock sold to £2000 at Markethill on Tuesday 13th April for a calved heifer from a Poyntzpass producer.

An Annaghmore farmer received £1940 and £1620 for calved heifers.

Several more sold from £1200 to £1350 each.

Cull cows

140 cull cows sold again in an exceptionally strong trade with good quality beef bred cows from £160 to £183 per 100 kilos for 646k at £1185.

Top price £1585 for 880k £179 followed by £1505 for 860k £174.

Fleshed Friesian cows sold from £120 to £140 per 100 kilos for 650k at £915.

Top price Friesian £1115 for 860k £129.

Second quality Friesians from £10 to £115 and the poorest types from £85 to £95 per 100 kilos.
