Dairy stock sold to £1650 at Markethill on Tuesday 28th July for an in calf Holstein heifer from a Waringstown farmer.

CULL COWS

135 cull cows sold in a steady demand with good quality beef bred cows from £155 to £175 per 100 kilos for 604k at £1055 from a Richhill farmer followed by £173 for 588k at £1015 from a Loughgilly producer. Fleshed Friesian cows sold from £120 to £142 for 770k at £1095 from an Armagh farmer followed by £140 for 800k at £1125 from a Dromara farmer. Several heavy friesians sold from £1000 to £1088 each. Second quality Friesian cows from £95 to £110 per 100 kilos and the poorest types from £75 to £90 per 100 kilos.
