Ewe with lambs at foot sells for £370 at Swatragh Mart

Thursday evening’s sale produced a super trade for almost 300 sheep that were presented at our weekly breeding sheep sale.

Weekly sheep sale: Lambs to £137.50 and fat ewes to £163.

An excellent show of over 1,200 sheep were presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Saturday 27th February, 300 cull ewes were offered for sale and were an excellent trade topping at £163.00.

850 lambs were presented for sale, which was also met with an improved trade, lambs topped at £137.50 for heavy sorts.

Weekly cattle sale: Another great show of almost 100 cattle was presented at Swatragh Livestock Mart on Monday, which resulted in an outstanding trade for all types of stock on offer.

Bullocks sold to a top price of £1,280 for a 542kg Belgian Blue at £2.36 per kg and to a top of £2.73 per kilo for a Limousin 300kg at £820.

Heifers sold to a top price of £1,170 for a 484kg Limousin at £2.42 per kg and to a top of £3.05 per kilo for a Limousin 236kg at £720.
