Fat cows selling from €600/head to €1710/head at Raphoe

There was a much stronger trade today for quality sheep on offer.

Lambs sold at:

€70 to €100 for 28-34kgs.

€100 to €120 for 35-40kgs.

€120 to €135 for 41-45kgs.

€135 to €148 for 46-54kgs.

There was another good entry for this week's sale with an excellent trade for all on offer.

Strong, forward cattle were highly sought after again this week with quality lots selling from €2.70/kg to €3.20/kg.

Lighter lots also met a brisk trade selling from €2.20/kg to €3.20/kg and up to €3.50/kg in some cases.

Bulls/bullocks sold from €2.20/kg to €3.20/kg.

Heifers sold from €2.30/kg to €3.50/kg.

Fat cows sold from €600/head to €1710/head.

Top class over 600kgs - €800 to €855 over the weight.

Store bullocks - €400 to €1030 over the weight.

Beef heifers - €715 to €1215 over the weight.

Store heifers - €300 to €1030 over the weight.
