Friesian bullocks sell to £1405 at Rathfriland Co-Op
Another excellent trade for cattle on Friday saw a Friesian bullock sell to £1405.00 from Banbridge.
The dropped calf section contained calves up to six months old.
These sold to £600.00 for a Belgian Blue bull from Banbridge.
Blue heifers sold to £550 from Banbridge.
Weanling calves sold to 236p/k for a 368k Limousin male at £690 from Castlewellan.
A Cullyhnna farmer sold a 378k Limousin female at £820.
A small entry of heifers sold to £1380 for a 778k Limousin from Kilkeel.
Most heifers sold from £800 to £1380.
Some excellent bullocks with a top of £1405 for a 796k Friesian from Banbridge.

Tuesday evening saw large entry of stock. Lamb trade eased slightly on the week.
A Rostrevor farmer topped the sale at £4.41kg for 14.6.kg at £64.50.
Over 300 fat ewes and rams sold to £111.00 for Suffolks from a Katesbridge farmer.
More ewes over the £100 mark this week with plainer ewes from £75 to £90 each.
