Last Wednesday (October 14 October) Garvagh Young Farmers’ Club held their first meeting of the winter programme.

A spokesperson for the club said: “A great night was had by all. I think it’s safe to say everyone enjoyed club leader Michael’s hand washing demonstration and then playing wink murder, the ‘getting to know you’ games and penguin football (all socially distanced of course) although I don’t think we will have any famous penguin footballers from Garvagh.”

They added: “We would like to warmly welcome all nine of our new members and welcome back to the rest of our members, we are glad to have you back.

“Due to Covid-19 we were unable to hold our annual parents night back in March, so all our prize winners received their cups and certificates at the meeting - a massive well done to everyone.”
