Good prices at Downpatrick Mart for cattle, female calves selling to £480 for 204kg

Leading prices are as follows.

Male calf: Hillsborough farmer Belted Galloway 204kg £450. Downpatrick farmer Aberdeen Angus 110kg £430. Hillsborough farmer Belted Galloway 158kg £410, Belted Galloway 150kg £400 and Belted Galloway 122kg £360.

Female calf: Ballynagross farmer Aberdeen Angus 202kg £480, Aberdeen Angus 198kg £470, Belted Galloway 106kg £300. Downpatrick farmer Aberdeen Angus 102kg £230 and Hillsborough farmer Hereford 102kg £210.
