The Casement Family from Loughinisland is raffling a Lim x Blue Heifer to raise vital funds for the Regional Intensive Care Unit RVH and Regional Burns unit RVH (Royal Victoria Hospital).

On the 3rd July a family member was involved in a gas explosion in Ballyclare. A fireball engulfed a roadworks site where the young man suffered extensive burns. He was taken to the RVH, where he spent three weeks in ICU receiving round the clock critical care and excellent support was given to all family members. He then spent a further two weeks in the Burns Unit at the RVH where his injuries were further managed. The Burns unit utilises the expertise of many different specialists to make sure the patient and family’s physical and psychological needs are met.

RICU (Regional Intensive Care Unit) admits over 2000 critically ill patients each year, there is over 300 staff who provide essential care for critically ill patients.
