Holiday World announces Belfast return with new headline sponsor on board
The organisers of Holiday World Show Belfast have announced that Northern Ireland’s biggest celebration of travel and tourism will be returning to Belfast in January 2027 – with Irish Ferries on board as the event’s new headline sponsor.
As the days get colder and the nights get longer, people’s thoughts are now turning to holidays and what better way to kick off the new year than to start planning your dream holiday with a visit to Holiday World Show Belfast in association with Irish Ferries which will take place in the ICC Belfast at The Waterfront Hall from Friday January 8 to Sunday January 10.
Now in its 34th year, more than 10,000 visitors from across Northern Ireland are expected to attend the three-day event that showcases a huge choice of travel options at home and abroad, bringing a world of holiday ideas, destinations, travel experts and exclusive show-only deals under one roof.
Maria Hourican, chief executive of Business Exhibitions Ltd, organisers of Holiday World Show Belfast, said she was delighted to welcome Irish Ferries as the show’s new headline partner.

“Irish Ferries is one of the best-known names in travel across the island of Ireland and a brand that has a natural connection with our visitors,” said Maria.
“January is traditionally the time when many of us start thinking seriously about the year ahead and where we would like to travel, so Holiday World Show Belfast is perfectly timed to help people turn that inspiration into reality – with a huge range of holiday options available and an opportunity to talk directly to the people who know those destinations and holiday experiences best.
“Irish Ferries shares our passion for making travel accessible and enjoyable to everyone, so we are absolutely thrilled and delighted to have them on board, if you pardon the pun,” she said.
Irish Ferries is no stranger to Holiday World, as a regular exhibitor at the Belfast show over many years. Marie McCarthy, Irish Ferries’ Passenger Sales Manager UK & Ireland, is excited to take the partnership to the next level as headline sponsor.
“We are delighted to come on board as headline sponsor of Holiday World Show Belfast 2027,” said Marie.
“The show is a wonderful opportunity for us to meet holidaymakers face-to-face, inspire them with new travel ideas and highlight just how much choice and flexibility a ferry holiday can offer.
“In particular, we’re looking forward to showcasing our direct service from Dublin to Cherbourg, which provides a fantastic gateway for people planning a holiday in France.
“France continues to have huge appeal for Irish holidaymakers and Holiday World Belfast gives us the perfect platform to encourage even more people from Northern Ireland to consider travelling there by ferry and, importantly, to demonstrate how the journey itself can become part of the holiday experience.
“Travelling by ferry means you can take your own car, pack your luggage into the boot, and enjoy the freedom to explore France at your own pace, whether that’s a family camping holiday, a touring adventure, a city break or simply discovering somewhere new,” added Marie.
“We look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand, sharing ideas for their next trip and helping them discover just how easy it can be to set off for France with Irish Ferries.”
Holiday World Show Belfast in association with Irish Ferries will showcase a wide range of holiday and travel options from across Ireland, the UK, Europe and around the world.
