First into the arena to kick start the day was Violet Davidson and Rummy who achieved a beautifully consistent and well executed clear round, Rummy well rehearsed in the showjumping ring at the sprightly age of 20 years young.
Annie Hoey and Custard have certainly been working hard over the summer. Annie now at four years old has perfected her rising trot and completed the course of 12 fences completely unassisted.
This cross-poles class has definitely got the Stars of the future. There were no entries for the 40cm class so it was onto the 50cm class where Lily Henderson and Lily achieved a clear across the full course of coloured fences, crossing the finish line in 25.78 seconds which was seconds ahead of the other competitors and therefore taking the win in this class.
Onto the 60cm class where Hannah Younger and Andi have been showing up each week, gaining confidence and taking everything in their stride. This week all their hard work came to fruition as the pair took home the first place rosette. We hope to see them again for the Autumn Working Hunter league.
It was clear to see who was taking the win in the 70cm class, Mandy Blakely and Theodore where the only combination to achieve a clear round, Mandy was delighted with their achievements and to be bringing home the first place rosette.
Annie Lucas and Sparky took the win in the 80cm class, and not only that, the pair achieved the fastest time throughout the whole day, through the speed section of the course 22.62 seconds. Well done.
Jessica Scott and Valencia finished out the day in the 90cm and 1m classes. This was Jessica's first time jumping the 1m class on Valencia and it wasn't a bother to them as they soared over each of the 12 fences with ease. Onwards and upwards for this fabulous combination.
Hagans Croft would like to thank everyone who supported their Showjumping Summer Bow Out event and thanks are extended to all the stewards and arena party for making these events run so smoothly. Hagans Croft now prepares for the start of their Autumn Working Hunter League at the end of September.
