As part of this evolving strategy Keenan regional business manager Gareth McAllister has been assigned additional responsibilities within Alltech Northern Ireland.

He explained: “What we have done over the last number of years is to more closely align the operation of the technical teams operating within both businesses. This has allowed us to take a more holistic approach to provide ongoing support and backup to our customers here in Northern Ireland.

“Profitable dairy and beef production is all about securing improved levels of efficiency from all the inputs required within a modern livestock operation.”

Alltech’s regional manager for Northern Ireland Richard Dudgeon agrees.

He said: “Amalgamating Alltech’s nutritional research capability and Keenan’s in depth expertise in delivering bespoke ration formulation, feeding and engineering solutions has represented a winning combination.

“As our business here in Northern Ireland continues to grow Gareth will now also be responsible for the promotion of Alltech’s scientifically proven range of solutions at farm level.”

He added: “It’s all about delivering better and more tailored advice and solutions to farmers.”

Demand for Keenan feeder wagons has and continues to grow throughout Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, Alltech remains at the forefront of developing improved nutritional solutions that allow farmers to make optimal use of the grass, silage and the other feeds they offer their stock.

Gareth McAllister again: “I am looking forward to my additional responsibilities with Alltech NI. It will provide me with the opportunity to be a point of contact for farmers when it comes to relating the tremendous resources that both Keenan and Alltech can offer their businesses.

“The research and development work carried out by both businesses over recent years highlights the tremendous potential that exists for livestock farmers here in Northern Ireland to drive performance efficiency while, at the same time, improving the quality of their outputs.

“My job will be to help communicate how both Keenan and Alltech’s range of scientifically proven solutions can continue to improve efficiencies and profitability at farm level.”

Gareth will continue to work closely with Aislinn Campbell (Intouch nutrition specialist) and Richard Dudgeon (Alltech regional manager) in his current role and as part of his additional responsibilities.

He will retain his role as regional business manager for Keenan Northern Ireland moving forward also.
