Montalto Estate to host family tractor show in support of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland
Montalto Estate is inviting families, farming enthusiasts and vintage machinery lovers to enjoy a unique summer day out as its popular tractor show returns on Sunday 2nd August, in partnership with Friends of Ferguson and in support of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.
Taking place from 11am to 3pm, the event will showcase an impressive display of both vintage and modern tractors, celebrating Northern Ireland’s rich agricultural heritage while raising vital funds for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland through vehicle registration donations and more.
Visitors can explore a fascinating collection of agricultural machinery spanning generations, while enjoying a programme of traditional farming activities and family entertainment throughout the day. Highlights include welly boot throwing, tug of war competitions, live threshing demonstrations and the much-anticipated Tractor Parade, which will make its way around the estate at approximately 2.30pm.
Tractor owners are encouraged to register their vehicles in advance by emailing [email protected], or alternatively register on the day from 10am via the estate’s Spa Road entrance. A donation of £10 per tractor is suggested with proceeds going directly to Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, helping to support its lifesaving emergency helicopter service.

The tractor show is included with a standard trails and gardens admission ticket, allowing visitors to combine the event with a day exploring Montalto Estate's beautiful gardens, woodland trails and outdoor spaces, not to mention the adventure of the treehouse play park.
Jude McConville, weddings and events manager (acting), Montalto Estate, said: “We’re delighted to hold our second annual tractor show at Montalto, welcoming visitors for another fantastic day celebrating Northern Ireland’s farming heritage while supporting the incredible work of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland. This event has become a real highlight of our summer calendar, bringing together families, enthusiasts and the local community to enjoy a fun-filled day in the beautiful surroundings of the estate. Whether you're passionate about vintage machinery or looking for a great family day out, there's something for everyone to enjoy.”
Colin Taylor, Friends of Ferguson, said: “We’re delighted to be returning to this year’s tractor show at Montalto with a fantastic celebration of Ferguson heritage. Visitors will be able to see a 1946 Ferguson tractor, marking its 80th anniversary, alongside a 1956 Ferguson, celebrating its 70th anniversary. Throughout the day, we'll be hosting two live tractor strip-and-rebuild demonstrations, as well as traditional threshing and baling displays. In the afternoon, our popular tractor drive will take participants through the beautiful grounds of the estate. And, of course, visitors can enjoy our impressive static display of Ferguson tractors on the front lawn of Montalto House – a wonderful opportunity to celebrate these iconic machines in a spectacular setting.”
The event promises something for visitors of all ages, from lifelong tractor enthusiasts to young children experiencing these impressive machines for the first time. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome throughout the trails and gardens, provided they remain on a lead.
Tickets can be booked online via the Montalto Estate website.
