Needing to change your feeder wagon… why not consider the Lely Vector?

The Lely Vector filling, mixing and feeding system was launched in 2012. It consists of a filling crane and a stainless-steel tub that mixes and dispenses feed around the farm automatically.

The Lely Vector automatic feeding system allows unlimited rations to be formulated and distributes them more frequently than traditional feeding systems.

As the tub does its rounds livestock come forward to the feed fence more often resulting in higher intakes. Feed is mixed more accurately and is more consistent, again improving intakes and reducing waste.

Farmers have reported improved and more consistent animal performance with increased milk yield and shorter finishing periods.

Many farmers have the perception that this system costs more than a conventional system. The initial outlay can be more but the cost of electric used is much lower than cost of diesel used in conventional systems.

When running costs and finance costs are combined the actual cost of the Lely Vector system can be lower than a conventional system. Plus, a modest increase in performance will result in improved profitability.

It also allows farmers more time to check animals and be more proactive on animal health.
