New faces at Fane Valley

Fane Valley have made two new appointments.

Stephen Lavery has been appointed to the position of Sales Manager at Fane Valley Feeds.

Stephen studied Agriculture at Queen’s University Belfast and after graduating with Honours, began employment in the bovine genetic industry with Genus ABS. Stephen spent thirteen years with Genus progressing to the position of Ireland Manager.

Stephen joined Fane Valley Feeds as Technical Sales Specialist in Down and Armagh in 2017. Since this time, Stephen has been highly successful in growing the customer base in the region.

Meanwhile, Dr. David Johnston has been appointed to the position of Ruminant Nutritionist at Fane Valley Feeds.

David, who comes from a practical farming background, is well known in the feed industry and has established himself as a leading ruminant nutritionist following his graduation from Queen’s University with a BSc Honours degree in Agricultural Technology in 2014.

David has also completed his Doctorate (PhD) in Dairy Cow nutrition through AFBI, investigating the role of higher protein forages and alternative protein grains within Northern Ireland farming systems.

Since graduating, David has worked in the feed industry and has offered valuable on-farm technical support to farmers.

Fane Valley would like to take this opportunity to wish both Stephen and David every success in their new roles.
