Seskinore YFC continues to go from strength to strength

Over the past few months Seskinore YFC had gone from strength to strength, in September at their first meeting back, it was great to see so many returning and 13 new faces back in the club hall.

Saturday 16th September the club held their annual Clarke’s bar barbecue.

A big thank you to all who attended to make the night so successful.

Club meetings continued and in October, farm families came to to the club hall to provide free healthcare to the rural area.

Club members Philip Crawford, Matthew Armstrong and Jacob Crosbie attended the swimming gala and were lucky to be place third in the relay.

Up next was the public speaking heats. Jacob Crosbie, Lewis Henderson and Joshua Keys were placed in public speaking (prepared) along with Lucy Keys, Danielle Smith and Lynsay Hawkes also (impromptu).

The floral art heats were held in October. Seskinore YFC had just under 30 members taking part in the competition. Nine members were placed in their respective categories, including Katelyn McKernaghan, Lucy Hawkes, Joshua Keys and Lynsay Hawkes.

They now all go through to the next round at Balmoral Show in May.

The county dinner closed the month of October. It was attended by 24 members from Seskinore YFC.

November was another busy month filled with competitions beginning with public speaking finals, Jacob Crosbie and Joshua Keys were both placed second in their respective age categories.

Meanwhile, Philip Crawford, Andrew Beggs and Sophie Crawford were placed third in the group debating Northern Ireland final.

Finally during December Seskinore YFC held their annual Christmas tractor/lorry run and lights switch on Seskinore village.
