Another good entry of cattle at Markethill

Another good entry of 610 store cattle, weanlings and sucklers at Markethill on Saturday 16th April continued to sell in an excellent trade.

Buyers from throughout Northern Ireland and exporters bought stock.

HEIFERS: The 190 store heifers included a lot of top quality lots. Forward heifers sold to £208 for 504k at £1050 for a Jerrettspass farmer. Main demand for good quality lots from £178 to £199 per 100 kilos. Top price £1100 for 606k (181). Suitable middleweights from £190 to £209 for 402k at £840. Lightweight heifers sold readily from £190 to £233 for 382k at £890 followed by £310 for 352k at £810. Second quality heifers sold readily from £160 to £175 per 100 kilos.
