Festivals and events funding for The Glens of Antrim
Many of these are iconic and unique to The Glens, such as the Dalriada Festival and Highland Games in Glenarm, Heart of The Glens Festival in Cushendall, the Ould Lammas Fair in Ballycastle and the Feis na nGleann which is one of the oldest festivals in Ireland.
These festivals are about celebrating our heritage and bringing the local communities together to celebrate our unique heritage and way of life but also for “a bit of craic” and to encourage visitors from outside The Glens to come and enjoy this place apart.

In order to ensure that there is a long lasting legacy of our Heritage within The Glens, the Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust, through the Heritage Lottery Funded Heart of The Glens Landscape Partnership Scheme, has released a funding application form that enables local community groups, clubs or festival groups to apply for funding support.
The aims of this funding is to enable the local people of The Glens and tourists to connect with the landscape in a more meaningful way, enhance their experience of the area and encourage them to stay longer.
The emphasis of the scheme is on new sustainable activities within festivals. Craft and artisan work is encouraged, but all well planned ideas will be considered.
The closing date for applications is Friday 28th April 2017.
Details of this application can be found on the website www.heartoftheglens.org.
