Empty freezers and no chicken nuggets leaves boy upset

Empty freezers and sparce shelves at an NI supermarket has left one little boy upset he won’t be getting chicken nuggets.

Seán Óg Toman, aged seven, was pictured this morning by his mum Sheridan at Tesco in Craigavon beside empty freezers.

“No Chicken nuggets or pizzas this week,” she said.

“I’m hoping they have them in soon, or he’ll be eating sausages everyday.”

It is one of a number of supermarkets which has depleted food supplies with people stockpiling for Lockdown and supply issues due to Brexit.
