Families now returned to their homes after suspicious device at Craigavon lakes deemed 'nothing untoward'

Last night’s security alert in the Pinebank area of Craigavon has now ended.

Yesterday (Monday 9 February) the PSNI received a report around 3.10pm of a suspicious object in the area.

Officers attended the scene, along with Ammunition Technical Officers (ATO), who examined the object and deemed that it was nothing untoward.

The Lake Road near roundabout one, which was closed for a period of time, with diversions in place, then reopened.

And those who were evacuated during the public safety operation were returned to their homes.
