YFCU top club officials announced

At this year’s YFCU AGM and conference, sponsored by Massey Ferguson, the top club officials across the six counties in the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) were announced.

These awards are highly anticipated and show the commitment and work that goes into running the clubs. It also gives drive and motivation for this year’s incoming club officials to strive to meet the standards of last year’s club officials.

Top club leader and winner of the Harper Adams Cup went to Robert Smyth (Randalstown YFC); in second place was George Irvine (Kesh YFC); and in third place Kerry Smith (Cappagh YFC).

Top club secretary and winner of the B and M Cup went to Jessica Reid (Glarryford YFC); in joint second place was Lynne Montgomery (City of Derry YFC) and Judith McKinley (Trillick YFC); and in third place Rae Hopkins (Donaghadee YFC).

Top club treasurer and winner of the Reg Gray Shield went to Teresa Connon (Lisnamurrican YFC); in second place was Melissa Sloan (Kilrea YFC); and in third place Gillian Henderson (Kesh YFC).

Top Club PRO and winner of the Guild of Agricultural Journalists Trophy went to Sarah Dorman (Spa YFC); in second place was Lauren McNeil (Kilraughts YFC); and in third place Zara Crawford (Seskinore YFC).
