Six scholarships will be awarded, three in Dairy and three in Regenerative Agriculture. Both programmes are open to applicants across the UK. Each includes a 30-day study tour in June and July 2026. Successful applicants will spend a month travelling with Nuffield alumni, gaining a unique perspective on practical farming, innovation, and leadership. This is a unique opportunity for young people to engage with the Nuffield Farming community and learn from their experiences.

Bronagh Dempster, a 2024 Dairy Next-Gen Scholar, who has since embarked on her own farming journey, reflects on the impact of the Nuffield network: “I’ve signed my first lease for a small parcel of land. Despite all the people that say you can’t go into farming without a farming family! Small beginnings but it’s a start and I am hoping to scale from here.

"I credit this mostly to the Scholarship. The people that told me I can, the people that showed me I can and the people that have advised me ever since. It showed me the art of the possible and for that, I am eternally grateful. It’s also made me incredibly motivated to learn more, push myself and provide value to others.”

Apply by 31st January 2026 to be part of a fully funded programme designed to inspire, challenge and connect the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Applications for full Nuffield Scholarships open soon.

Applications to become a 2027 Nuffield Scholar will soon be open to individuals aged 25–45 who are based in the UK and working within, or influencing, the farming, food, horticulture, rural or associated industries.
