Armagh Down UFU members are being encouraged to come along to a group meeting at Caledon Estate, combining a behind-the-scenes tour of one of Northern Ireland’s best- known estates followed by a discussion on one of the biggest topics currently affecting agriculture, the Nutrients Action Programme (NAP).

Taking place on Thursday, 29 October at 2pm the afternoon will begin with a tour of Caledon Estate and facilities.

Following the tour, attention will turn to the future of farming with a discussion on ‘Life Under NAP’.

Leading the discussion will be John McLenaghan, President of the Ulster Farmers’ Union, and Andrew Wright of Farm Theory. Both speakers are well known throughout the farming community and bring a combination of practical experience and fresh perspectives to the conversation.

Group mangers, Chris Donaldson and Ruth Atkins, hope the event will encourage plenty of discussion and give members the opportunity to ask questions directly to the speakers. All members are invited and encouraged to attend. Whether you are involved in dairy, beef, sheep, poultry or mixed farming enterprises, the session promises to provide useful insights into the opportunities and challenges facing the farming industry.

Light refreshments will be served.
