The retail outlet will shut for the final time on May 15 after the company confirmed closure dates.
Sinn Féin MLA John O’Dowd said the closure of Debenhams in Rushmere Craigavon is a blow to the workers and the local retail sector.

The Upper Bann representative said: “I would like to extend my solidarity to those who face losing their jobs as a result of the closure of Debenhams.

“The problems facing Debenhams are not of the workers making but rather the failure of the company to keep pace with an ever changing retail market.
“Sinn Féin will continue to work with the requisite Departments to secure employment now and in the future, and to provide guidance and support for those without work.”
