Praise for model makers

Newry & Armagh DUP Assemblyman Gareth Wilson MLA has praised the organisers and participants of the 2026 Moira Farm and Construction model show.

The Jim Baker stadium Templepatrick played host again to another packed two day model exhibition with makers of all ages displaying their skills.

Speaking after the event where Gareth’s own son Micah was also displaying, he said: “This was another brilliant event and massive credit must go to the organisers who year on year volunteer a huge amount of time and effort in to putting on this amazing show.”

He added: “The amount of time and dedication it takes is considerable and then there is the detailed work of the diorama makers who spend a lot of time and money making their displays as realistic as possible.

“My son Micah had his own display on show for the fourth year in a row and thoroughly enjoyed the event with his friends and it was great to see so many younger people displaying which is a great sign for the future of the hobby. Well done again to the hard working team that makes it happen and for the support it provides to charity each year with the generous giving of exhibitors and visitors.”
