Clocks going back are a timely reminder to prepare for winter with NI Water

As the clocks go back and evenings draw in, NI Water is reminding customers to prepare for winter by signing up to its free text alert service and, if they need additional help, joining its free Customer Care Register.

NI Water’s text alert service provides mobile text updates about planned and emergency water supply interruptions.

The Customer Care Register helps NI Water record customers’ individual needs and provide appropriate practical support if their water supply is interrupted.

It may benefit people with a disability, health condition or communication need, as well as customers whose personal circumstances mean they require extra assistance.

Support can include a password scheme for home visits, allowing a carer or relative to contact NI Water on a customer’s behalf, and priority consideration for bottled water during a supply interruption.

NI Water Customer Experience Manager Ruth Simpson said: “As the clocks go back, it’s a timely reminder to make sure you and your loved ones are ready for winter.

"If you think a little extra support would help, please join our free Customer Care Register.

"You can also sign up to our free text alert service, so we can keep you informed about planned and emergency water supply interruptions.”

For more information, visit www.niwater.com and search for “Customer Care Register” or “Text Alert Service”, or alternatively call Waterline on 03457 440088. Customers with hearing difficulties can also use Typetalk through Waterline.
