M6 Theatre bring All the Small Things to Bangor next month

Why not join leading children’s theatre company M6 Theatre as they present All the Small Things, a magical new spin on fairytales touring to Space Theatre, SERC, Bangor on Saturday 5 December at 11am and 3pm?

Directed by Gilly Baskeyfield (Little Gift, A Tiger’s Tale), All the Small Things is a heart-warming musical adventure for all the family that celebrates the joy to be found in everyday moments.

Deep in the woods, a lost traveller finds their way to the Story Collector’s door. On the turn of a snow globe, the enchantment begins.

Two talented troupers (and one playful goose) combine singing, puppetry and playful physical comedy to bring this original story to life.

Artistic director of M6, Gilly Baskeyfield said: “Stories can help us make sense of the world, understand ourselves and each other, and see things a little differently. Myrtle is a collector of stories, and she uses her expertise to help lost travellers see their own lives as stories. For Martin, that means staying playful and remembering the small things that can make such a big difference like friendship, celebration, moments of connection, and simply giving ourselves permission to have fun.”

Community arts development officer at Ards and North Down Borough Council, Amy McKelvey added: “We're delighted to welcome M6 Theatre Company to Bangor with this charming and imaginative production.

“All the Small Things is a wonderful reminder of the joy that can be found in everyday moments and offers families the chance to enjoy a magical theatre experience together.

“With its mix of storytelling, music, puppetry and humour, it's the perfect festive treat for children and grown-ups alike.”

All the Small Things is performed by Oldham actor Billy Barlow, who is also one of the lead theatre practitioners at Oldham Theatre Workshop. He is joined by Katherine Vernez-Grey who has worked previously with M6 on Mavis Sparkle.

Founded in 1977 and based in Rochdale, M6 Theatre Company is acknowledged as one of Britain’s leading touring theatre companies specialising in creating and delivering high-quality performances for young audiences.
