Man arrested after PSNI pursue motorcyclist through river, doing wheelie's in 90mph rampage in early hours of morning
Police have arrested a man following a pursuit of a suspected stolen motorcycle in Lurgan in the early hours of this morning.
Around 12.15am officers in the Portadown Road area spotted a grey Husqvarna motorcycle with no vehicle registration driving dangerously.

“Officers followed the motorcycle and located it parked on the Old Portadown Road," said Sergeant Patterson.
"When the driver spotted police, however, he subsequently made off.
“Police signalled for him to stop, but the driver accelerated harshly in an attempt to evade officers, performing two ‘wheelies’ before making off in excess of 90mph.
"He then failed to give way at a road junction, narrowly avoiding a collision with another road-user, before accelerating in excess of 80mph and driving the wrong way around a roundabout.
“As a result, the driver entered Brownlow Road on the wrong side of the road, then drove onto the footpath and grass verge before abandoning the motorcycle and making off on foot.
“Officers commenced a foot pursuit, which went through a river and grass area before the 21-year-old was apprehended in the Ardowen area.
“He resisted police but was subsequently arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking in which a vehicle is driven dangerously, failing to stop for police, resisting police and theft of a vehicle.
"He remains in police custody at this time and the motorcycle was also seized by police".
“Our enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police using our witness appeal form at https://reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals, quoting reference 28 of 21/10/26, or to call us on 101."
